What is in my heart? What burns my heart for my family, community and Cambodia as a whole? Changing, making the differences, having an impact, and seeing people live with joy & peace is always my dream for my family and people i know. Does it hurt you when you see people you love & care live in hopelessness, brokenness, unhappy marriage, and lacking a sense of purpose in life? It just breaks my heart whenever i think about it. While i am sitting in a nice place writing this article, there are people out there somewhere in Cambodia who don't even have a roof to rest and food to eat. And probably there are even more people wake up this morning with hopelessness, depression, and are desperately searching for meaning of life. My friend there are much better stuff in life that we Cambodians are deserved. We're not born just to live with hopelessness and just for the sake of living. We're deserved a better life, a better community, a better future for next generation and its worth fighting for. I don't want to pass a broken society to my children's generation.
What should be the answer?
I believe the only best answer for the problems is the transformation of lives through the power of the gospel. People need to know and accept the truth for transformation of their lives. I was growing up thinking that education, money, power, and jobs would be the answers to solve peoples problems. But actually its not that true because there are a lot of people who have lots of money, have good job but still live in broken lives. In contrary, i know people who just like me who never have enough, who look very simple but live in joyful life because we know the truth. I want to see this truth spread out to all people i know too because i want to see them experience and enjoy life regardless of who they are and what they do.
What do/will i do about it? Building Local church is the best way to share the truth (gospel), see people lives changed, and bring the difference in their community in a sustainable way.Therefore, through out my whole life i want to:
1- Work together with my team to build a strong & healthy church ( Liberty Family Church, Phnom Penh) that can reproduce other churches across Cambodia.
3- Bring changes to my village and community. I want to see my whole village and community live in better life.
2- Apprentice guys who want to be change agents. I want to invest my life with people who want to make differences in other peoples lives.
3- Build a healthy family: I want to share my life journey with someone who feel burdens for other people.
